FESTIVAL SCHEDULE

The festival took place in Terni from January the 30th to February the 2nd at Palazzo Gazzoli's blue room, on 'Teatro Romano' street.

REGULATION

We opened the registration to "Contrometraggi 6th edition". The short movies will be accpeted up to 12/31/2007.

1. The Cultural Voluntary Association "Contromano" (the wrong way), is going to organize the third edition of the uncompetitive shortmovies festival "CONTROMETRAGGI", in order to promote the shortmovie as an artistic form, allowing to every participant to have equal screening opportunity without any distinction between professional and amateur works. The screening will occur from January 30 to February 2 at Palazzo Gazzoli in Terni.
2. The festival's wide open to everyone and taking part is utterly free.
3. It'll be granted the screening of only one work per author, if the time allows it. The time available is 8 hours of screening. In case that the sum of durations will excess the 8 hours, the first arrived shorts will be screened, and in case of equality, the shorts sent first. Issue 11 of this regulation is an exception. The excluded shorts will be screened in the next festival, should the author request it.
4. Every work must be 20 minutes long at the most, including credits. The duration will be counted calculating the duration of the dvd tracks; eventual presentation, shots or something will be count as part of the short. The dvds with more than a short must be provided with a menu in order to select easily the short to be screended.
5. Shortmovie theme and argument are entirely unbound. Ad shorts and music videclips will be excluded. The shorts with dialogues and captions not in Italian will be accepted only if subtitled in Italian.
6. Association reserve the right to don't screen the shorts containing pictures, sounds and all that stuff in blatant conflict with the public ethics and decency.
7. Every author takes on full responsibility of the contents of their sent works, relieving the Association of any responsibility about the contents themselves.
8. A shortmovie, already sent to previous editions of "CONTROMETRAGGI", cannot be screened again. But the association reserves the right to admit the shorts excluded in the previous editions or the shorts never screened or screened badly for technical problems. In this case the author will be contacted by the association.
9. The shorts must come on DVD, in DVD-Video format (no other formats will be accepted).
10. Each short must be obligatorily followed by a signed presentation dossier; it's downloadable on the Association website. You can also send a custom form but it must contain at least the following information: author's data (full name, address, phone numb and/or email - one of the two in compulsory, both are recommended) and short movie data (title, year, duration, director plus a brief synopsis), other than the compulsory signature. Then is necessary to add a liberatory for using the works and an other one of the personal data treatment, and they should have the same text of the presentation. Optionally you may add more infos. Anyway, we recommend you to use the form available in our website.
11. To the membership of the association is always guaranteed the vision of a short, yet respecting the other rulement issues. They're also guaranteed of the screening of shorts in which they held noteworthy roles in the production stage (direction, story and screenplay, acting, cutting... and so on).
12. The works sent won't be taken back but rather they'll join the associational file concerning the festival itself. Association Contromano reserves the right to use these works, without any profit, to screen 'em in the occasion of uncompetitive festivals, cultural events, TV broadcasting, and what have you, in which Association is organizer and helpmate. Without giving the authors any preventive information.
13. The signed works must come by and no later than 12/31/2007 (postmark will testify, but after 12 p.m. of 01/08/2008 the works'll be excluded.)
14. The shorts excluded for violating the regulation will be screened only on Associazione Contromano discretion and if time allows it.
15. Association ain't answerable for thefts, mislayings or damagings of the works sent.
16. Over the nights little presents will be given to the authors attending in the auditorium (or to their delegates were they previously signaled) in remembrance of the festival.
17. The author agrees to a full use of his work (screening, filing, tv broadcasting, posting on websites and papers), using it in next festivals withouth lucrous purpuse. Joining it entails the right to treat personal information by the Association according to the current regulations.
18. Joining the festival involves the utter and clean acceptance of this regulation in all his item, and the misabidance of the same implies an instant exclusion from the festival.
